Time goes fast and I have finally managed to book a flight to Lisbon again. Damn, I’m really looking forward to meet my Portuguese friends, see those streets, and surf on the Ocean. 8 weeks to go!

Really, roadtrip is something more than a journey. Especially if you don’t have an unlimited budget. That’s why you have to prepare and schedule everything before off you go.
For some reasons, I travel a lot with Kuba. This is my man. We know pretty well each other and we can rely on each other. It is really good to have this kind of person around. Sometimes you have to stay with him all days, sleep all nights together and after days or weeks, everything is still OK. He lives in London now, so we met in Sweden.

Every roadtrip is unique. Every roadtrip has some funny stories which mark this uniqueness. For example, 2 years ago we were coming back from Portugal to Poland, and I carried my notebook all the time on my knees and was writing my Master Thesis unless I was driving. Yes. I wrote the most part of my paper in a car, viewing landscapes, keeping an eye on dozing off Kuba at the same time. Everything in 4 days. And I graduated soon after that.

What did mark the last road trip? Well, this time was even more crazy. I was hacking an application for my work while I was waiting for a ferry on Arctic Circle. And..I did it by using my mobile phone only (no laptop at all)! Life is crazy. And probably I really like to twist it up a bit haha

So, as you have already known. I do love roadtrips. Scandinavia in January. Arctic Circle. The facts are, we had to prepare ourselves. And actually we didn’t. Kuba didn’t get his shoes on time and he was wearing sneakers. I bought my shoes few hours before the flight and so on. Sounds a bit crazy but in fact, this is what we wanted to do. Go without goal. Counting on adversities, annihilation, tons of mooses etc. Just a challenge, to have good memoirs.

The whole roadtrip was gorgeous. We used almost every kind of transportation. Trams, trains, subway, airplanes, cars and even ferries. We used whatever we can, thousands of miles on road, thousands of miles in air, hours through frozen waters of the Mather North. Sleeping on couches at friends, sleeping in car with -25 C around. Dinners with friends, dinners in car. Everything mixed up.
And to be honest, I would never ever exchange this to any commercial journey with 5 stars hotel and swimming pool. Never.

PS. The only disappointed thing were..mooses. I had seen hundreds of warning signs but we didn’t see any real (even if we saw many other cool animals such as reindeers). So we just bought our own moose who traveled with us and ended up as an another teddy bear of my nephew.

So, I stayed at Fibb’s flat for few days and we were basically hangin’ out. She is a cupcakes master and obviously I had to participate in the cupcakes ceremony.

I decided to remove it and keep it to myself as it's a quite good story to complain about life and I want to complain from time to time, so...the Internet has to live without it...]

Anyway, just for a short sum up…
I planned to spend a New Year’s Eve in Asia a year ago. More or less I was sure it would be my first New Year’s Eve celebration alone since…ever? Anyway, it has never happened because.. all the 2010 was crap. It was crap to this point that I didn’t go to Asia then and (oh irony!) I spent this New Year’s Eve alone. A short difference is that I spent it in Poland and it wasn’t planned. This shows you how shitty 2010 was for me. And in fact, it digged me to the last day.

So, 2010 was a bad year. The worst thing was, I was balancing between good and bad moods. Between good and bad experiences etc. Fortunately, two or three months ago I realized that as shitty the 2010 is and I have started to prepare for an upcoming year…the 2011. And here we are today! I have already planned some travels and other stuff and I’m really looking forward to experience the 2011. This is my year. I truly believe in it!

As it’s a new year, I received some wishes…funny thing is most of them was about photography. So, let me make it upside down. This time there is no photo included. But..I have promised myself, I will start to upload stuff regularly! I promise…once again…but this is the 2011…it must be a good year! As 2011 is the year!

With my emotional roller coaster, she was like a bridge to my daily life. I don’t know how I will handle it without her. She was like my last hope that tomorrow will be a better day. No, it won’t.

I feel so bad that we had to split our paths.
